How it plays

  1. The board is split into coloured regions. Place exactly one stamp in every region.
  2. Each row and each column holds exactly one stamp.

Questions

What is country sudoku?

Country sudoku is a sudoku-style logic puzzle themed on countries. In Worlddoku every level is a different country, and you place one stamp per region, row and column using deduction alone.

Is Worlddoku the same as sudoku?

No, but it shares the spirit. Both have one solution that you reach by reasoning, and both use rows and columns. Worlddoku has no numbers: you use coloured regions and a rule that stamps may not touch.

How is it different from Murdoku-style or Queens-style puzzles?

Murdoku-style puzzles are whodunit grids, and Queens-style puzzles place one item in each coloured region. Worlddoku is closest to the second kind, with the no-touching rule, a country on every level and stamps to collect.

Do I need to know sudoku to play?

No. The rules take a minute to learn, and the first levels are small 5×5 boards. Hints explain the next step in words if you get stuck.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no account, and your progress is saved on your device.
